Grocery Department Staff

We are looking for an experienced and friendly Grocery Clerk to ensure our grocery area is well maintained and runs efficiently. You will act as the first point of contact with customers and help them with information and support to buy their groceries.

Your duties may include preparing sales displays, making sure the store is clean, stocking products, and processing customer orders. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must have a friendly and open attitude, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
Ask customers about their needs and help them make purchases.
Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelf to assist with purchasing decisions.
Provide excellent customer service.
Make sure the store is clean, safe, and in order.
Store and replace products to avoid damage.
Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh produce.
Prepare store displays and ensure products are accurately labeled.
Ordering products out of stock.
Process customer orders and payments.
Discard expired items and place soon-to-expire items in special promotions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
Minimum 2 years experience as a supermarket clerk.
Demonstrated customer service or retail experience is a plus.
Great attention to detail.
Good communication and people skills.
